Information about the camps

The camps are 9.30–15.00 o'clock and the price includes a lunch and a small healthy snack in the evening. You do not need to bring your own computer or other equipement.

The camps are organized on campus in Kumpula. More information will be sent approximately a week before the camp.

The camps are taught in Finnish. If you need help with choosing a camp, please don't hesitate to contact us at linkki@cs.helsinki.fi.

The camp will be organized with 12 or more participants. If a camp does not have enough participants by 1.5.2025, the camp will be canceled and the participation fees will be fully refunded. We will inform about the possible cancellation as soon as possible.

About your data

The University of Helsinki Science Education collects personal details about the participants and their legal guardians (such as names, birthdates and contact details) in order to conduct the practical running of the activities, and to later market our activities to the participants and their legal guardians. Personal data will be stored also after the activity has finished. Only University of Helsinki staff will have access to the data, and it will always be handled confidentially.

We also use services from other service providers, such as the Scratch programming environment from MIT. You can find the data protection statements of these services on their respective websites. For further information about the third party services, please contact us linkki@cs.helsinki.fi.

We will conduct scientific studies in our activities in order to develop them. Participating in the studies is voluntary, and below we ask the participant's legal guardian's permission for participation. More information on our website (in Finnish).

Cancelling the registration

You can read the information about cancelling the registration here. Note that we charge 20€ for cancelling a registration.

Payment

Registration is always binding. Payment occurs immediately. By paying the fees you accept the terms and conditions of the cancellation policy. Fees are payable with a credit card, mobile payments (MobilePay, Siirto), or through an online bank transfer (Finnish banks). Payments are made through the Verifone Finland Oy, BlueCommerce website.
