Information about the clubs

Most clubs are organised on-campus in Kumpula. The online clubs are organised virtually on Zoom. Instructions and further details are sent by email nearer the event.
The clubs are in Finnish. If you require help with selecting a suitable club, we're happy to help over email at the address linkki-kerhot@cs.helsinki.fi.
If the club you've chosen is full, please email us at linkki-kerhot@cs.helsinki.fi. In case there is demand, we may be able to recruit more instructors for the club, and we can also reserve a spot for those who've asked for one over email.
About your data
The University of Helsinki Science Education collects personal details about the participants and their legal guardians (such as names, birthdates and contact details) in order to conduct the practical running of the activities, and to later market our activities to the participants and their legal guardians. Personal data will be stored also after the activity has finished. Only University of Helsinki staff will have access to the data, and it will always be handled confidentially.
We also use services from other service providers in the clubs, such as the Scratch programming environment from MIT. You can find the data protection statements of these services on their respective websites. For further information about the third party services, please contact us linkki-kerhot@cs.helsinki.fi.
We will conduct scientific studies in our activities in order to develop them. Participating in the studies is voluntary, and below we ask the participant's legal guardian's permission for participation. More information on our website (in Finnish).
You can separately give us permission below to use pictures and/or videos we take, in which the club attendant is recognisable, for communication and marketing purposes.

Cancelling club registration
You can read the information about cancelling a club registration here. Note that we charge 20€ for cancelling a registration.
Payment
Registration is always binding. Payment occurs immediately. By paying the fees you accept the terms and conditions of the cancellation policy. Fees are payable with a credit card, mobile payments (MobilePay, Siirto), or through an online bank transfer (Finnish banks). Payments are made through the Verifone Finland Oy, BlueCommerce website.
